Minimum Qualifications
1. Minimum 23 years old.
2. Able to pass D.O.T. physical and drug screen test, the cost will be paid by Crete Carrier
Corporation.
3. No DUI or DWI convictions or positive drug screens.
4. No major preventable accident in the past five ( 5 ) years.
5. Quality work experience.
6. Good references from past Employers.
Student Pay Scales
After successful completion of a Crete recognized truck driving school, or equivalent .
Then all students will be assigned a Crete certified driving/training instructor and complete an
8 week O.J.T. ( On the Job Training Program )
Upon successful completion of the 8 week On the Job Training
Program, the student will be
assigned a tractor, and begin receiving
mileage pay at the rates listed below.
National
Weeks 1 through 8 $400 per week ( Training Period )
Weeks 9 through 52 31 cents per miles
Paid miles adjustment 1 cent increase **
13th - 24th Month 36 cents per mile
** = One cent per mile will be added to the student drivers base rate of pay as soon as the driver has driven in excess of seventy five thousand ( 75,000 ) paid miles. Calculation of the 75,000 paid miles shall commence as of the time the student leaves the 8 week training period and starts receiving mileage pay. This is a permanent one time adjustment in the drivers base rate of pay and is not an annual adjustment. The actual addition of 1 cent to the drivers base pay rate will be become effective with the first weekly
payroll following the week in which the driver exceeds the 75,000 mile requirement .
After successful completion of a driving school all students that drive team with a spouse or another Crete Carrier driver will immediately begin earning team mileage pay.
After 24 months of driving, the successful student will receive compensation at the rate for the particular division they elect to drive in. This time out on the road, dispatch method, and operating area for the student can be determined by reviewing the profile for the particular division in which the student elects to drive.
